For me, art is a portal out of ordinary reality. Making it allows me to enter a space where intuition, curiosity, and play guide the search for unexpected forms and visual relationships.
I’m interested in creating a world connected to our own, but slightly off—where opposing ideas, materials, colors, and forms coexist, sometimes uneasily. I embrace the tension between order and chaos, the familiar and the strange.
I begin with an idea or design, but it rarely survives intact. Each work evolves through adding, subtracting, responding, and revising. I use wonky color, layered imagery, and shifting compositions to challenge conventional ideas of visual harmony.
More recently, I have begun incorporating three-dimensional objects, found materials, and fabricated forms. Familiar objects are removed from their everyday functions and transformed into ambiguous, playful forms. I want the work to feel like a place where things are still becoming—where meaning remains fluid and viewers can bring their own stories to what they see.
